Breakfast is an intergenerational historical drama, set in Corsicana, Texas on the first day of school integration in 1970. With 17-year old Cora at the center, a series of interconnected, two person, one-act plays serve up the grits and grit of this small town coming of age story. Inspired by events in rural Texas towns.
About Auditions Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script from scenes selected by the director. Social Distancing Safety Precautions: Safety of cast, crew is paramount. Please seat yourselves socially distant from other actors as room allows. Masks are not mandatory, but appreciated when not on stage reading. |

(In order of appearance*) The characters speak in a southern dialect. As long as the dialect and intent is honored, slight phrasing modifications are permissible. No profanity is permissible.
