RED is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)
Abstract expressionist Mark Rothko has landed the biggest commission in the history of modern art, a series of murals for New York’s Four Seasons Restaurant. He works feverishly with his young assistant, but when Ken challenges him, Rothko faces the possibility that his crowning achievement could become his undoing. Raw and provocative, RED is a searing portrait of an artist’s ambition and vulnerability.

RED is a Tony Award-Winning biographical drama play by John Logan that takes place in Rothko's studio over two years, and explores Rothko's struggles with integrity, fame, and self-doubt as he balances his artistic vision with the demands of the project.
Starring
John S. Davies as Mark Rothko
Ethan Binder / Christian Cuellar as Ken
