Come work in an actor's playground! We will blend imagination, emotion and specificity to add nuance to your performances and enrich your craft. Through scene work, we will learn to create layered performances. This will be a collaborative space to play and discover. Using acting techniques, relaxation, and curiosity, we will work to build a deeply textured, unpredictable life on stage.
The Concept: One Play, One Scene, Four Weeks
Most workshops give you a new script every week. We are doing things a little different. For the entire month, we will focus on a single play: AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY by Tracy Letts. You will be paired with a partner and assigned a scene. Every weekly session will tackle a different aspect of that same scene giving you a variety of techniques to use to achieve your best performances.
Disclaimer: scenes will contain adult subject matter and language. You will NOT be required to kiss, cuss, or simulate anything in this workshop.

If you want to transition from simply "learning lines" to creating characters with dynamic interactions and emotional depth, this workshop is for you. This scene study offers a space to experiment, sharpen your instincts, and open new horizons for your creative work.
Because we are testing this brand new program, the first month-long class will be free.
