William Shakespeare's VENUS AND ADONIS
Read by John S. Davies
October 15th at 7:30pm
in the FATOR STUDIO
“William Shakespeare is well-known as a playwright; less
well-known as a sonnet writer; and hardly known at all as
the author of two long ‘story’ or narrative poems. Venus and
Adonis is a flflowery, gorgeous rom com of a poem with a
twist--Venus (the Goddess of love) pursues Adonis (a youth
of surpassing beauty) and he rejects her! Then (spoiler
alert) he gets gored by a boar! Like all of Shakespeare’s
work, it benefifits from being read aloud so I’m going to read
this juicy poem (it takes about 45 minutes) on Oct 15 at
7:30 in the Fator Theater. I think you’ll enjoy it!”

Past 100west resident and playwright, Brigham Mosley, revives their drag performance of Critical, Darling!
"It's critical, darling, to be critical, darling." Born out of the cabaret tradition and written during their residency, Brigham's solo show holds a mirror up to both personal and current global crises through performance, satire, and original song.

The performance starts promptly at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.00.

Brigham is a writer/performer/drag artist. Their work has been described as "if the Rude Mechs had a love child with Taylor Mac (or Daniel Alexander Jones), and then named Young Jean Lee the godmother."

PURCHASE TICKETS

The Fator Studio Series productions are not the types of shows you normally see on the main stage at the Warehouse Living Arts Center. They are a little outside the box, possibly a little edgy and progressive. These productions are not included in Season Ticket Subscriptions, but you can use your flex tickets for these shows if you so choose. Stay tuned as future shows are announced!
