The hopefully first of a series, information on what this Readers' Theatre is can be found after the show details.
Five women get together for their birthdays, each with their own story, to drink, celebrate, commiserate, and support each other as they negotiate through marriage, work, divorce, birth, kids, and solve the problems of the world.
Cheryl, Kathy, Emily and Abbie started Birthday Club five years ago when their friend, Jennifer, was diagnosed with cancer, as a support group to help her get through it. When Jennifer recently passed away, they had an opening for a new member. However, it’s not easy to join Birthday Club. Birthday Club is very exclusive, and there’s a three year waiting list. They bring in Sarah as a potential member, but first Sarah must make it through the “interview” and agree to abide by the eight rules of Birthday Club, to be considered an official member.
One by one we learn of their personal, work and family issues, and when it’s revealed that one of them broke a rule. The question is, will Birthday Club survive, or will Rule #5 end it forever?

What is this "Reader's Theatre" you speak of?
Think of it like a workshop, or reading of a script but with a little bit of preparation, minor staging and a few props thrown in for good measure. Nothing too fancy now, just a sprinkling. As we begin this uncharted journey we're just doing two rehearsals, then two performance readings.
How much will tickets be?
It's donate what you want/can at the door. Buckets will be made available for you to drop cash or checks in. If you don't carry either, you can donate from your smart phone.
What types of plays will you be reading?
All sorts. We've been talking to a number of playwrights about some of their unpublished works they are looking for some feedback on. and they've been gracious to let us take a stab at them.
Can I reserve a seat?
For the moment, no. It's first come, first serve. We just ask that you socially distant yourself from any people that came in before you when picking your seats. That's 2 empty seats between each group, and one empty row between rows. We know, that doesn't allot us a whole lot of seats, but we're doing what we can to try and keep everyone safe and still find ways to bring you some entertainment. We also ask that you wear your masks while in the lobby until seated.
